After long and ceaseless debate, Ann Marie Przywara and Ryan Ballentine, Director of Residential Life and Director of Residential Life Operations respectively, have decided to change the way that they deal with students' housing related issues.
"We've learned from the best," Ballentine said in a statement to Skidnews, "and by the best, I'm obviously referring to Phillip Glotzbach."
Students might have noticed this pop up into their inboxes just yesterday morning:
Ann Marie Przywara and Ryan Ballentine would like to invite all students to join them to discuss any and all housing-related topics that are important to you.
Please plan to drop by the Kisiel Atrium of the Murray-Aikins Dining Hall on Thursday, February 4, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. to chat with the Res Life Directors.
The pair decided many semesters of email exchanges had distanced them from the community, and they saw the fireside chat as a way of reconnecting with students and better understanding their housing plights.
"We expect a handful of students to show up ready to engage in some mature, respectful discussion about some of the issues that are most important to them."
Though the chat isn't scheduled until this Wednesday, dozens of tripled Freshmen have already lined up outside the Atrium clad in heavy winter coats and carrying camping equipment. When asked if he was planning to camp out in order to ensure his attendance at the fireside chat, Billy Toole, '19, said, "F&^* yeah, man. My roommates are the f^(*ing worst."
