The Dynamics traveled to Central Connecticut State University and placed 3rd at the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (ICCA) Quarterfinal. They not only received an impressive placement, but were also given the Outstanding Arrangements award and junior Kenter Davies ’19 received the award for Outstanding Soloist. He commented about how his award for outstanding soloist “was truly an honor coming from such knowledgeable and esteemed judges.” He also admitted that “it had been a while since the Dynamics had participated in something on such a grand scale,” but that did not seem to stop them in dominating the competition. Make sure to check out the Dynos at local competitions!

The Drastic Measures also had a big weekend when they traveled to Schenectady and scored 2nd place at The Union Thruway A Capella Competition. The group welcomed new members this semester and saw the competition to be a good bonding experience. Vice President- Hannah Curtis ’20 mentioned how “it was great getting to perform for a sold-out audience with five other talented a capella groups” (but could not stop them from outscoring numerous schools!). The Drastic Measures have been amazing thus far so go out and support them in their upcoming shows.
