Pulp Section: Trump Plagiarizes Propaganda

Liberty University has officially announced that it will be conducting an academic ethics review of President Trump.  Mr. Trump received an honorary doctorate from the University in 2012 and would have to return his diploma if found responsible.

The President is being investigated for plagiarizing the words of Russian President, Vladimir Putin.  In an interview with Bill O’Reilly aired before the Super Bowl, President Trump defended Putin by reminding the United States that we are not any better than Russia.  After O’Reilly pushed back on the President and suggested Putin was a killer for assassinating dissidents, Trump responded, "There are a lot of killers. We've got a lot of killers. What, you think our country is so innocent?"

According to Liberty University’s honor code, “paraphrasing or quoting a specific passage from a specific source without properly referencing the source” is against college policy.  In his interview, Trump declined to mention that Mr. Putin has been broadcasting notions of U.S. moral ambiguity for years.  When asked for a comment, Putin said, “I respect Donald Trump’s willingness to say exactly what I tell him to.”

Trump responded to Liberty University complaints of plagiarism by reiterating, “at the very, very successful Trump University, this kind of thing would not be a huge problem.”
