From October 2-6, Skidmore Athletics held its eighth annual All in to Win campaign, a fundraising initiative focused on supporting and enhancing all of Skidmore’s athletic programs. The effort brought together alumni, parents, and other Thoroughbred supporters to contribute financially toward the success of Skidmore’s athletic teams and facilities.
The money raised directly benefits student-athletes by providing rosters with improved resources, equipment, and funds to reduce travel expenses. The campaign also benefits recruitment and health and wellness programs also benefit from the campaign.
All in to Win emphasizes community involvement by creating fun challenges for teams to complete and offering matching gifts to boost engagement and maximize donations. This year, Skidmore Athletics’ fundraising goal was $275,000. However, thanks to the overwhelming participation and generosity from its supporters, the campaign exceeded that amount by over $100,000, raising $380,161 in total.
The initiative saw contributions from 941 donors across all 18 athletic teams, with donations pouring in from 38 different states and even 8 gifts from Canada.
Skidmore Men’s Hockey led the way, contributing over $45,000 towards the campaign. The Skidmore Crew team finished in second, raising nearly $37,000, followed by Swim and Dive, who generated almost $31,000.
The outpouring of donations from the national and global Skidmore community has been truly remarkable, and these contributions will directly benefit all Skidmore student-athletes for years to come. Although the campaign ended in October, interested parties can continue to support the college here.
