Tell the World I'm Coming Home

Heading home for winter break,
Head full of knowledge
And eyes devoid of thought,
My writing hand cramped
My hunched back stiffened,
Uncomfortable in library chairs.

DHall has become tiresome.
I’m ready to sit by a fire
One that has nothing to do with fireside-chats;
Ignore responsibilities and daylight,
Sleep for days, in the dark—
Home for winter break.
