1. The Lateshift- 11/1- The Park Theater, Glens Falls
This talented group brings together rock-guitar and alternative-lyrics to create an unexpected result from the two genres. Their music is both exciting and calm, producing timeless tunes that fit any occasion. One of their hit songs, “A Park, A Friend, A Fear, A Beer,” showcases just this. 2. Seaforth- 10/31- Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park
Combining both pop and country, this Australian band traveled across the world and brought their talents to one of the most music-driven cities in the world: Nashville. The two childhood friends, Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson, grew up in a Sydney suburb called Seaforth, which then became the bands inspiration for their name. They put their musical talents to the test when they arrived in Nashville, and thus, the group was created. Their song “Love That” combines catchy country music with pop- driven lyrics to create an authentic tune. 3. White Reaper- 11/7- The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany
Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, White Reaper is combining restful lyrics with snappy tunes. Comprised of Tony Esposito, Ryan Hater, Sam Wilkerson, Nick Wilkerson, and Hunter Thompson, the group has played with some of music’s top bands, such as Weezer and The Killers. Their new song “Might Be Right” showcases talented guitar solos and enjoyable lyrics that create a song that will immediately get your head nodding. This group breaks the stereotype of head-banging, loud rock music that almost frightens you, by providing enjoyable songs that ultimately bring positive vibes. 4. Oshima Brothers- 11/7- Caffe Lena
Oshima Brothers is bringing indie-folk music to the stage that you won’t want to stop listening to. The siblings grew up in a musical household in the heart of rural Maine, which allowed them to be surrounded by captivating music from a young age and ultimately, resulted in their ability to create soothing hits with dynamic vocals. The calming acoustic notes and harmony- rich lyrics provides songs that result in contagious joy from anyone who listens. Their song “These Cold Nights” brings acoustic notes with light drum tones that create an all- around relaxing song. 5. Della Mae- 10/31- Caffe Lena
This fun group is bringing a new take to traditional bluegrass country. The all-female combo is catching the eyes of many with their songs, having produced a Grammy- nominated album in 2013. Since then, they have not slowed down their efforts in making timeless hits. Their song “Boston Town” exemplifies the intensity of their music passion and their sheer talent for putting a spin on typical country music.
