The Student Government Association Executive Committee is deeply distressed to hear of another case of sexual and gender-based misconduct at Skidmore. We are concerned about allegations that the administration severely mishandled a case profiled in a recent Huffington Post article. No student should have to share a classroom, a residence, or even a campus with their assailant. We stand with the student who came forward with her case in this article, as well as with all survivors of sexual and gender-based misconduct on college campuses across the country. In the coming weeks, SGA will continue to advocate for improved policies and better practices to make Skidmore the true community of care that we want it to be. Our community can do better.
