Two Departments will find a New Home in Filene

The Skidmore Classics and Economics departments will be moving this August to Filene. They will be joining Art History, some of the Theater department, Moore Documentary Studies Collaborative (MDOCS) and Arts Administration. Currently the Classics department is located on the second floor of Ladd Hall and the Economics department is spread out between two floors of Harder and Filene.

All College General Education Requirements Still Under Review

In November, the Skidmore News reported on the current state of the general education requirements that are currently under review.  The Committee for Educational Policies and Planning (CEPP) is in the process of reviewing the requirements, and since November there have been some changes to the proposed new requirements.

Reel Talk: Oscar Predictions 2016

This year has been one of the most unpredictable awards seasons in recent memory. While many awards groups have been rewarding Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant this year after failing to reward him for Birdman last year, the major awards group that did recognize him last year was the Academy.
